It's clear you don't understand that the US just does not have a high number of top scientists and engineers to choose from. This is the reason we import so many from abroad. The US is full of STEM illiterate folks.

It's important to have top notch scientists and engineers...it's what drives discovery and innovation, which contributes to a countries economy.
Yes, this. Exactly.

We have millions of Americans crying about losing factory jobs that required little education and then they cry about importing people who have the education and skills to do the jobs we actually have open.

They don't want to invest in education then cry when Americans can't get these jobs.

Baloney. You don't need a full team of "superstars". One or two per project can accomplish the same thing for less. I work in IT. Everyone on my team is not a super star. We do great work. There is something for every level and skillset.

If the US industries that are crying there is a lack of qualified candidates then let them start investing in the process. To expect a student to continue through 8-12 years of school surviving on minimum wage jobs that isn't going to happen, let them provide internships like the accounting field does so they can make a reasonable salary as they continue through grad school.

If this isn't proof of some Americans' itch to race to the bottom, I don't know what is.

Just wow.

Warner Von Braun, a Nazi, helped America win the race to the moon.

Regardless of if their argument is correct, yours is not. Asking 'why a country is doing badly' does not disprove their claim, assuming there's any truth to it. Intelligent and hardworking people can come out of bad countries.

No kidding. They want to hire "the best" for cube jobs.

How revolting is that!

Liberals go on and on and on about what great educations our colleges are giving and how important it is to have a degree, then see nothing wrong with importing workers for jobs.

And they wonder why we laugh at them.

Well then, how about all those tech giants pick up and move to those countries? They don't need the US, they will have brightest and best in those countries!

See ya later MS and Google!

Von Braun did not "help" anyone. It was HIS designs. His rockets. HIS technology. He would have done the same for the Russians if they captured him first. Von Braun only worked for the Nazis because they paid the bills.
