Over the past almost 2 decades the US has left a trail of blood, death, carnage, destruction, broken bodies, displaced people over several countries--Iraq, Libya, Ukraine, Somalia, Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan and probably some we don't even know about. We have overthrown democratically elected governments and installed puppet regimes. We have bombed, invaded, destroyed on a massive scale. No, we are not innocent. America's approval rating has steadily plummeted under the presidencies of GWB and Obama. Putin enjoys an approval rating of about 85% in Russia. He may be a serious rival and someone to be reckoned with but that doesn't necessarily mean he is not worthy of respect.
This is an open letter worth reading.
