Not that I see. I don't know how reliable the independent is. Maybe the speaker was just protesting the idea.

This is shocking if other presidents were welcome to do so.
I don't think anyone really cares. There will be a lot of countries pouting when they learn we are no longer planning to be the door mat and dumping ground for the rest of the world.

We won our freedom from Britain quite some time ago. Maybe this is just a case of sour grapes they contracted from American liberals!

See my other post - this is still being debated.

Trump should be glad that he will be able to miss what would be a humiliating experience for him. In that pit of contention, he would be soundly booed and driven out.

Are there any leaders less popular than Trump besides Putin, Duterte (who both love Trump) and Kim Jung Un? Even the UK doesn't like him? After his calls with Australia and Mexico, he's getting quite a long enemies list.

Those are debating the State Visit, which is the official meeting with the Queen and Prince of Wales. There is also the honor of getting to speak in front of the Houses of Parliament, which requires invite and approval from both Speakers of Parliament. The Speaker of the House of Commons said he will not allow Trump to speak there.

That's independent of the State visit.

Of course he is.

In the liberal Dictionary both sexist and racist is defined only as Republican.

It's why nobody takes either term seriously.

Yes, this is a good point. He's such a poor speaker.

That's how I understood it as well. Although, I don't know if the final call is the speaker.

I'm surprised there are still people that actually deny it.
