So now here we are two and a half weeks into Trump's term and he fully owns the stock market. Never mind it more than doubled during Obama's two terms.

And of course we all know the market rose IN SPITE of Obama, and we all know it is going up now BECAUSE of Trump.
No shortage of threads on this forum, supported with links galore, claimed the bull run during Obama's terms happened in spite of him. No surprise that now a continuation of the run, is being attributed to Trump.

Only thing certain is the tide will eventually turn. Impossible to time a market.

Lower wages will mean higher profits and therefore higher stock prices.

There is such heavy government manipulation that the stock market means nothing anymore.

Zero interest rates have decimated the savings of all Americans, but because of the national debt, they can't raise rates in any meaningful way.

Market was up 249% under Obama
Market is up 1.3% under Trump.

Looks like Trump still has a long way to go.

Why do people say things like this?

Obama didn't do anything.

QE, and near zero percent interest rates caused the market to go up under Obama.

Trump being elected added another trillion dollars to the stock market.

The market is a large bubble, and it will eventually pop, that just a simple fact.

OMG...the stupidity in this. WOW

This is a perfect example of how the left can't analyze things properly or deal with facts or stats. Very embarrassing for you guys.

WoW.

No doubt about it; I didn't vote for Trump but I am up a potful of $ due to the stock market rise since the election. But the big question would seem to be how much better off are the Rust-Belt unemployed and the coal miners who voted for him since the election? Kind of looks like those with $$ are making out the best so far.

So in a nutshell, you are saying that the market went up IN SPITE of Obama, and now it is going up because the market is bullish on Trump?
