Is this the new normal? All you need to get a shot of great publicity is to give Trump credit for whatever expansion you have underway. I think people need a lesson in how to read PR companies "press releases" also.

If you want to believe that your savior, Lord Tweet made this happen, even though anyone with a cursory knowledge of business would know it had to be in the works far longer than Trump has been in office, then go for it. Just don't expect people who actually think about it not to call you out on it. Just as they called you out on saying Obama created the problems in 2007/08. (Just making an educated guess!)
Fab 42 already exists. It was announced in 2011. Some may recall Obama coming to Arizona in 2012 to hype it. The plant was intended to built 14 nanometer chips, but the market tanked, and the plant was never utilized as intended. Intel is now planning to build 7 nanometer wafers there. The plans have been in the works for more than a couple months obviously, but Trump, like Obama before him is welcome to claim a victory. People just need to see this posturing for what it is.
And yet, it's sat for years right? So, why start it up now? Who really knows for certain what they feel or think except THEY say it's because of the new policies coming down the line so does it really matter? It's what THEY said and seemingly believe.
Now if the factory is not ramped up from it's current condition THEN everyone can call "liar, liar hair on fire" but until then...... as you have no evidence to the contrary...
"The new manufacturing facility, which is completed, is targeted for future technologies," Mulloy said. "The new construction was originally slated for 14nm, but through an ongoing drive in manufacturing efficiencies Intel was able to continue to use its existing buildings for 14nm. This allows us to maintain the new building for additional capacity flexibility and future technologies."
