Indeed.

Intel clearly states, from the White House no less, they are going to build the most advanced chip factory in the world in the USA due to Trump's policies, and it's absolutely driving them crazy.

Attempting to do anything they can to belittle it.

I'm sure the MSM will do the same as well.

The same vacant chip plant was touted as a jobs producer under the Obama administration.

Trump and Intel's CEO are touting a $7 billion plant that has been under construction since 2011 as a new jobs creator - Business Insider Nordic

The thing that stands out from the two press releases, the original announcement in 2011 and today's announcement, is how few jobs are created for the amount of money invested.

Intel CEO Announces $7 Billion Factory Investment, Creation Of 3,000 New Jobs During Trump Meeting | Zero Hedge

So in 3-4 years, they are going to be hiring process engineers and technicians.

Folks better get their butts back to school if they want one of these high-wage jobs.

You sound like another so-called "libertarian" with great, secret admiration for the toddler-in-chief.

Any CEO with a brain will flatter Trump will compliments and claim that Trump is responsible for everything great that they do, in order to receive favorable treatment from Trump. He's an extreme narcissist and thats how the game is played these days. Its ridiculous and third world, but thats what it is.

That factory was originally designated for Intel Atom mobile CPU but Intel cancelled development because it's not competitive against Apple and Qualcomm.

Recently AMD has stepped up their game big so Intel needs a new foundry to fight against AMD.

Intel pledged a $5 billion investment at this same site in 2011 and they spent $1.4 billion and the rest of the plan was idled until they started talking to AZ again to get incentives last year.

So Im happy you think Trump did this, but he didnt really.

Many Trump supporters hate the concept of tuition free public colleges, even though thats exactly what is needed in a time of rapid technological shifts and automation, and instead they want more privatization crazes and would rather spend money on "rebuilding" the military industrial complex. Mind blowing.
