And as the world's fastest growing religion they are migrating and on pace to eventually fulfill that goal if liberals continue to accommodate them. In large enough numbers they will become more empowered and turn against the well intentioned fools who welcomed them in.

If travel to the US is down right now its probably a temporary phase. Emotions are running high now, and tourists who are too turned off by the US right now to visit will get over it eventually. And we shouldn't base our policies on how well liked it will make us in the eyes of the rest of the world. Sensible people will understand and respect that we're refocusing on this country's needs first right now. We're on track to going about business the way most countries already have been, and that is; in our own best interests.
So what are you gonna do with the over 3 million muslims living in the U.S. and the 3000 mosques servicing them that "well intentioned fools" welcomed in?

You've had muslims in the U.S. before there was a U.S.

You have to know a "pogrom" would not go over well, even in Trump's America.

Am in NYC as well, and respectfully you don't know what you're talking about.

The City derives great income from tourism and it increasing occurs all year long, even from formerly "off" seasons such as January through May.

For instance many Europeans are coming to USA and in particular New York because we have been having quite a mild winter. In comparison much of northern Europe including UK, France, Germany have seen very cold temps, snow and snow storms.

There is also the fact as any seasoned traveler will tell you the best time of year to visit many "hot" destinations is during off peak time of year. Crowds are often much less and so are the prices for accommodation and pretty much everything else. You can get into museums or events without having to wait on endless lines.

I would *NEVER* go to Venice, Italy from late Spring through early Fall; but late Autumn through early Spring is another story.

Default US Tourism interest is gettting Trumped, 17% decline!

Well we heard that Hard bookings already declined a couple of percent, but it looks like it might be much worse .

Globally fight searches to the USA have fallen off a cliff, and the bad news is this is the busiest time of year for vacation bookings.

Overall we can see a 17% decline in searches for travel TO the USA! And remember Tourists are counted as exports in terms of deficit. A drop as high as 20% of tourists in FL would be a major disaster. Hopefully it will not be as bad and maybe visitors will come later, but it could be worse if Trump does not stop his crazy antics .

This is what happens when the world sees us as the bad guys, it could cost the economy billions if Trump does not do something to turn this around.

"""Hopper.com data revealed that searches dropped for U.S.-bound flights from 94 out of the 122 countries in the report. Curiously, the one place experiencing a sharp increase in demand for flight searches to the U.S. is Russia"""

International tourism’s value to the economy is also calculated as an export, so any reduction in tourists from overseas could also exacerbate the US’s trade deficit—exactly the opposite of Trump’s stated policy goals.

I hadn't even thought about this effect, this is bad news for the travel industry which is huge in the USA. As far as turning it around? No way. You are just seeing the beginning of the isolation of the US which will affect us negatively in many different ways. My advice is if you have any investments in travel or tourism related stocks, this would be a good to to get out.

Having plenty of friends abroad, I know many who are saying they won't visit US for a while. Not only are they turned off by Trump, but there are all kinds of immigration measures which will harass tourists by asking for their social media presence etc.

Anything to blame Trump - sorry but with the economic situation in America as well as the uncertainty in other countries - people are postponing things like big purchases and trips.

yes , but the data for jan feb wont be in for a while , the industry uses searches to get a very close picture on what is happening, it is a very strong metric...
keep in mind the "booking" peak is actually right about now plus or minus a couple of weeks . Overall if you don't get the numbers in the door in late jan early feb you are in trouble.

The strong dollar is a factor but not one that has put off the Russians, they are WAY UP!

Seems pretty clear that they are.

And who can blame them?! I mean just the thought of having to run the gauntlet of screaming, crying, hysterical, liberals at the airport gives me the willies.
