You're being hung by the same rope you hung the chauvinistic, xenophobic, racist, uneducated Trump supporters were hung with by your party and press. Enjoy the feeling, because you thought it was a good idea to start the whole guilt by association cries.
Haha the difference in this case is that the school, campus pokice and actual student groups are for the most part, innocent in intent and action.
So what you are saying is that no "peaceful" groups of students or faculty at Berkley had any clue that BAMN would show up to protest the event in the Pauly Ballroom at the MLK Student Union nonetheless? The BAMN website also speaks to what Berkley faculty demands and understands.

The xenophobes and racists are not innocent.
Apples and Oranges.
So then you're claiming that all Trump supporters are xenophobic and racist?
Which would mean all the protesters at Berkeley were rioting, committing violence and causing a civil disturbance. Actually the thing I personally find most disturbing and distasteful is the number of self identified Liberals who comment positively on youtube of videos of the riots and violence.
Or are you saying it only applies when it's some group you're opposed to, but not one you support. Would that be the Apples and Oranges you're trying to claim?
No the article called him an 'organizer' and his interview was not on behalf of the school or the students who protested but the group that rioted.
Anything else?
The article didn't say it was the university, that doesn't matter. We don't know how many students or faculty joined in, I would imagine some. It doesn't matter though , the point was not to blame the university except in their lack of policy to protect people and property. We talked about the $110k in campus damages but it's reported another $400-500k in the city. But I'm sure they're used to it.
What's amazing to me is that the left is outraged by mere language on a daily basis but when their protests turn violent, they ignore it, minimize it or pretend it's no big deal. Why is there no outrage or more vocal condemnation from the left about these violent factions of the protests who assault people , block ambulances and destroy property?
They see it as self defense. When they gather in black masks to attack and beat people in red hats, start fires and smash up private property, it is "self defense". When they shut down a speech because they do not like the speaker, self-defense. The mere existence of the right causes them so much "pain" they have to hurt them back in self defense.
They are so twisted, their eyes and mush brains see a girl in a Trump hat as an evil jack-booted enemy soldier coming to take them away to the camp so they pepper spray her and run away. The more they do this stuff it will lead to harsher consequences, less freedom and things becoming more like what they fear. They don't see this because they think they are at war right now fighting Actual Nazis like people in jeans and a ball cap and a gay Brit dressed like Liberace, who are enemy and imminent threat because, words are dangerous like Actual bullets.

And her hat said "Make Bitcoin Great Again". It wasn't even a pro President Trump hat.
These little Nazi's don't care who they hurt. They are just coward thugs, hiding behind masks.
