Sometimes, it's the ONLY effective form of protest. A riot was the catalyst needed to spark the American Revolution. The Haymarket Riot is partially responsible for bringing us the 8 hpur work day. The Stonewall Rito ws the cornerstone of the gay rights movement. More recently, the 1992 LA Riots were instrumental in reforming the corrupt and abusive LAPD. I prefer that protests be peaceful, but sometimes destructive protest is necessary to affect change.

Not against civilians. Antifa is not rioting against the police or any government body. They are attacking civilians, including just bystanders. That more or less means Antifa is a target for the same thing.

I agree, can't make a blanket statement for or against anything in life.

For example, I don't think many here would shed a tear if people went on a riot demonstrating against Muslims and refugee immigration, destroying businesses and Mosque.

Advocating violence toward innocent lives is irresponsible.

The current rioters are anarchists. I would expect that their endgame is anarchy.

It's a valid form to get shot.

Do you know why we don't have that many riots here in Texas?

Chanting, holding signs, etc. (where permitted by law) is a valid form of protest.
Damaging private property; looting; burning vehicles, equipment and buildings; invading private property; breaking the law in any way; is NOT a valid form of protest.
Those who do any such things should be arrested, convicted, and punished in full accordance with existing laws.

Valid? For anything I want to protest? Or just the things the left protests about? I mean if I feel my property taxes are too high can I do some massive damage at the assessors office and just claim its my right to protest? Maybe that isn't valid because the left loves other people to pay high taxes.
