exactly what was the "attack"? nordstrom's simple statement that they would be discontinuing stocking "ivanka trump"?
The items could have quietly disappeared from stores and if asked, Ivanka could have said that she had put her business on hold while she focused on helping her old man out. We all would have understood and it would have left the door open for her to reopen her business ventures at a later date.
Instead, Trump tweets some smack about Nordstrom. Her stepmom and that dimwit Don Jr. call for a boycott. Kellyanne does a informercial on Fox.
How embarrassing.
I feel for Ivanka. Ain't nobody but Walmart ever going to be interested in carrying her line of foreign-made frocks now.
What retailer would want to carry merchandise that was dropped for poor sales at four major retailers. Plus, if it doesn't work out for you, it will be a ton of trouble and bad press.
"Women can be vicious. Just ask men. Better yet, ask other women. If they’re honest, they’ll tell you. Women can be harsh to their own kind, especially liberal women. That’s what makes feminist campaigns like the “Women’s March” a bit of a joke. It’s not about women sticking up for one another. It’s about liberal women advancing their own liberal agenda, and if you’re not on board, you’re attacked, viciously."
I've been fascinated by the left's vitriol for Ivanka Trump. Here she is, a strong successful woman that you would think feminists would celebrate, but because of her last name she is scorned and ridiculed.
I suspect Hillary is the closest women are going to come to a female president for a couple more generations.
I'm a very big Trump fan but I'm not fond of Ivanka advising her father. We didn't vote for her. I don't think the child tax credit thing she's pushing her father into is a good idea because the government shouldn't be incentivizing people to have more children they can't afford. I've been saying that for at least a decade. Also, I want to know if this carbon tax thing is her idea because I don't like that either and she's the one who met with Gore.
On the other hand, let her be a good successful business woman, wife, mother and a daughter. In those endeavors I wish her well.
I'm not a Trump fan, but I've got no beef with Ivanka. Seems to me that she took full advantage of the life that she was born into, and has worked hard to build a career. She has the platform to be a voice for working mothers... but so far she has missed the mark. Not because she doesn't care and is willfully out of touch, but because she doesn't yet understand the obstacles faced by the rank-and-file working moms, and moms who want to return to the workforce. But that's okay; I think she cares enough about the issue and is aware enough of her privilage to want to learn more about what the 98% needs.

Sorry--I didn't think I had to spell out the entire thought process for you to get the gist of it, but I will 'tiger.'
By your logic Kim Kardashian is a 'strong successful woman' who other women should rush to support if she is being 'attacked' by an imaginary enemy?
But, Kim Kardashian is also a self-promoting opportunist with a fashion line who started out with help from her famous dad and who takes every opportunity possible to sell something and make money off of every event in her life.
Very similar to Ivanka. It's not like either one of them are self-made and independently strong women.

Agreed. I think most sensible non-Trump supporters (and there are many) have not issue with Ivanka. I know I don't. This whole thing with her clothing line, Nordstrom, and her father is about abuse of power by HER FATHER. This really has nothing to do with her. She has also separated herself from the company so why does dad even care that the line is dropped--it's not about her. It's business. Would Papa Trump like a president commenting on his business affairs?
This has absolutely nothing to do with Ivanka as a woman, it has everything to do with an administration attempting to use the office of the President to shill for his daughter's business.
I'd give you a "nice try" but it really wasn't even that.
The other possibility is that Liberals don't consider Ivanka to be a woman. I glanced @ her profile on Wikipedia - her biggest public splashes seem to be in connection with D. Trump - & so it may be fair to criticize her standing as merely a kind of vermiform appendix to Trump.
But @ that, she's gotten a better hand than all the temp Trump arm- & eye candy - her slot as daughter & confidant seem to be much more sustainable than all the serial pro tem Mrs. Trumps. I'd say she's gotten a better deal. What she makes of it, is up to her.

Do they even know what the agenda is? Seriously, I just got an email invite to celebrate one's birthday. Where? Why Hooters of course, lmao. They are an endless source of entertainment.

The Trumps? I highly doubt they're desperate

C'mon people, you're swinging so fast you aren't thinking.
Kim Kartrashian is "famous for being famous". Her and that whole stupid family only rose to prominence because of her late father being on OJ's defense team and her porno, oops, I mean leaked sex tape. She has no talent and doesn't do anything of merit
