It just seems crazy to me... our universities used to be places of higher learning and cerebral endeavors. Now they are just places of indoctrination and brainwashing. Our news used to be news and now it's all opinion pieces that are politically motivated. Our courts used to be at least on the surface fair. Or so we thought.

Now we have crazies ravaging through the streets spewing vitriol and they are clearly not reasonable or thoughtful individuals. No logic, just ranting. They are shutting down everyone and anyone who doesn't agree with them. Frightening paid anarchists are coming to commit violence wearing hoods and masks.

It seems the ends justify any means needed to advance their agenda. I never thought this would happen in our country. I thought we were better than this.

We've seen this before.. how long is it going to be till we have police wagons coming for the people who say something against someone or something they have espoused? The fascists are screaming "fascist!!!" and "Nazi!" while they bulldoze everything in their way.

A couple years ago I started being shocked at what I was seeing. From both sides of the political aisle.

Now I have the benefit of hindsight and believe it started many, many years ago. The internet and TV just sped up the process.

I like having input from people with differing views. I enjoy listening to, and engaging in, debate. Now, we are stuck hearing the noisiest, most unreasonable voices. And people react! Though, honestly, in my circles, we can still debate and have really good, if intense, conversations.
