Word is Germany has had Turks living there for about 60 years now but, it seems the "modern" Muslims from Syria and so on have a MUCH worse rep.

Maybe I don't know my history but still.

The Turks are a much different group than the Arabs. Their origins, history and culture are far removed from that of the Arabs/Berbers. Turkey is not a fundamentalist religious state like so many of their neighbors. The Turks only moved into Anatolia about 1000 years ago. They're a breed apart.
