Yawn. Why does it have to be either or? Why do you conservatives always deal in absolutes? Life isn't black and white. There is a sea of grey out there...

Anyways, fact, guys like Haley Barbour and Louie Gohmert have much more in common with the old Jim Crow Democrats than they did to the typical northeastern style Republican ala George H W Bush or Arlen Specter. I should note that Specter eventually became a Democrat not wanting to be part of the party of Tom DeLay, Trent Lott and co.

If the Republicans hadn't gone crazy on the social issues trying to bring us back to the Dark Ages, maybe you'd have a point
What do "dark ages" mean to you?

When everyone who wasn't a white male was kept down, when gays were beaten up or even murdered (and yes, there were homosexuals back then), when women basically had no rights other than to stay in the kitchen and make babies and cook, could go on if you want

It's fascinating that this is what you see when you think of Republicans. Please do go on.

GREAT! Who wants their little girl in a public bathroom with a grown man wearing a dress? Have the operation - then use the girl's bathroom. You have a JOHNSON - get out. Although, I'm not sure I'd want my little boy in a public bathroom with a grown man wearing a dress either.

No
Not unless they were unisex bathrooms - which - his properties don't have.

As people have said, this is about SCHOOLS. Not other places where adults can deal with their own issue. It was wrong to put this burden on their shoulders and make anyone, adults, teens and children, feel they were BAD for not wanting to share private spaces with people they know to be the opposite sex. The whole idea is crazy making.

This was something Trump ran on. Whether I agree with it or not it's something he said he would do. In that context alone I have to give him credit.

I can only begin to imagine how much better this country would be today if President Obama did what he said he would do as candidate Obama.

Thank you! I've brought this up but it keeps getting ignored!
