They're stupid they gave David Bowie the best alternative album award just because he died. All of their awards are statements or responses to pop culture and politics. It has nothing to do with the music. That's why Green Day won the best rock album award in 2005 because all the lefties loved it because it was an anti-Bush album. lmao...Adele is basically a copy of other black women who sing in that limited style she has. Adele's whole appeal is she makes soul music accessible for certain people who would normally see it as "not for me". Like I said, Adele was on stage gushing over Beyoncé, she know which one of them is the once in a lifetime talent. I don't know...with everybody and their brother touting themselves as "alternative" when in fact they all sound like something that's been done before, I'd say timing the release of an album about your death at the time of your death is pretty refreshingly alternative.
