This feels like similar to dossier news refreshed by CNN few weeks ago. Same article is copied by other newspaper says, these are already briefed to Obama and Trump some time ago and there was no evidence that it impacted elections. Without seeing a proof, I would say it is another recycle job by NYT. CNN always has something to add to story from their internal sources from intelligent agencies.
