McCain: Russian missiles, military moves testing Trump
Quote:
WASHINGTON – Russia is testing President Donald Trump with its treaty-busting deployment of cruise missiles and other recent military provocations, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., said Wednesday.
The chairman of the Armed Services Committee and other lawmakers in both parties decried the missile deployment as the newest proof Russia is violating a Cold War-era treaty brokered by then-President Ronald Reagan.
Meanwhile, the Defense Department also confirmed Russian fighters and surveillance aircraft flew close to a U.S. destroyer in the Black Sea – a first under the Trump administration -- and a Russian surveillance ship has parked in international waters off the east coast of the United States.
“They are testing this president, just as I predicted,” McCain said Wednesday.
As much as I think Trump was a bad choice for POTUS, Soviet ships/planes diddling around off our coasts in international waters/airspace has been going on for many, many years, we do the same off their coasts. No biggie.
Exactly!! Most people know this. Guess the OP is behind the times.
It's hillarious that if the Russians do that when a Democrat is in power, the Republicans go bananas.
But when they are in power? Ah sure that happens all the time, no big deal.
Your source talks about the Russians having a cruise missile that is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead, interesting. The US, and NATO has been encircling Russia with similar missiles for years now.
Maybe you didn't hear that the US is doing this, it's a dangerous game we're playing.
