Remember that 1/3 was the same chance that Nate Silver gave Trump of winning. And she's still climbing, had a huge surge today.

Le Pen's platform? France First. Leave the EU. Stop the Islamics from pouring in.

Socialists and Republicans will unite against her in the runoff, just as what happened in 2002 with Chirac vs Jean Marie Le Pen

Exactly!

French are far more sane than to let the world see them for a bunch of racists lured by the hate filled rants a lunatic.

If Mlle Le Pen does will in the first round of voting it most certainly will provoke the same response as in 2002; large numbers will show up for the second round to deny the win.

Based on the Brexit and Trump polling of the establishment polling industry, that 1/3 is extrapolated out to about 10 to 1 she wins.

I doubt you Americans would like her economic policies.

Just remember, if you don't want France to have its first female president, you're being sexist. How will Catherine Deneuve be able to cope with the idea that France might not have a female president before she dies? #JeSuisAvecElle #MeilleurEnsemble

Great.

The same group of Americans that called for "Freedom Fries" more than a decade and a half ago are now excited about French Nationalism.

Keep that in mind as you peruse this thread. SMH

To be fair, Americans didn't like France because we thought they were too liberal.

I mean, the same Americans who fought the Soviets for decades, have been embracing Putin's Russia.

Times change, people change. That kid who called you names in middle school might have grown up to be a really nice guy.

Marine Le Pen is obviously not Jacques Chirac, or Nicolas Sarkozy, or Francois Hollande.

LMAO....what?

Americans didn't like France because the French wouldn't lend support for the war in Iraq. Had nothing to do with being too liberal.

Besides, what's it to you or I who does or doesn't lead France?
