I doubt that. The IRS has a pretty good track record at protecting the privacy of tax info.

The whole system of voluntary compliance is predicated on that.

The Dems put Getiner, a tax cheat, in charge of the Treasury Dept which controls the IRS.

Now, they care about peoples tax returns?

Hilarious.

For years, the IRS was not able to fire their own employees determined to be non-filers or tax cheats, because whenever they tried the employee union brought up Geitner.

The hypocrisy is mind boggling.

that is simply untrue.

you are claiming the election was a referendum on whether or not presidential candidates should show their taxes... it was not . In fact trumpers are using this as their go to excuse for everything trump does "badly"

Trump kills the Fiduciary rule, and suddenly the rightwing thinks the public should not be protected, but just 6 months ago you all loved the incoming fiduciary rule...

trump allows waste coal products to be dumped in rivers, suddenly humans don't like clean drinking water...and love heavy metals accumulating in their kids bodies..

Sorry, but it simply IS true. You are going off into other topics that have nothing to do with this one.

People's tax returns are private information. Candidates voluntarily choose to release their tax returns because they feel it will harm their candidacy if they don't release them. That is the only reason. There is no law requiring candidates to make their private tax returns, public. Trump chose to take that risk and leave it up to the voters to decide if that was important to them. They decided it was not important enough to withhold their vote. It is as simple as that.

SQUIRREL!!!

This is now an issue beyond tax avoidance or exaggerating his wealth, which were the seeming issues before the election. It may show connections to Russia he claim doesnt exist, or other such incriminating evidence.

There IS a reason why he doesnt want the public to see it. YOU should wonder what that reason is. That you dont is puzzling given that his nat sec adviser has been caught lying about Russian connections and discussions.
