But this isn't in a court of law and nobody needs to prove anything, that's what makes this whole thing so arcane. If Trump thinks they are reporting lies just to impugn his character and decisions, then it's incumbent on him to put those fears to rest. His best strategy is to ignore the slings and arrows and get on with business, but instead..................................... This is a very bad situation, both domestically and internationally.

Whatever Trump does, it will be misrepresented in the media anyway, so should both Trump and Spicer stick to all the work he is doing, stay positive and ignore the tactics of the media?

I figure they will have to report on all the work he is doing, and it will give them less fodder to fuel their toxic reporting.

What do the Trump supporters think?
Bush stayed positive and ignored the tactics of the media, that didn't work out so well. This administration can walk and chew gum at the same time. I'm glad we have someone who is finally standing up to them.

They're doing nothing like that at all. First, they're pushing insane lies about Russia. Second, they are not reporting what Trump does. They are editorializing on what Trump does (after misrepresenting it) and basically presenting all of it as heartless, cruel, and evil.

We can't MAGA until we defeat our treasonous MSM. They had a good thing going lying and deceiving the weak minded and along comes Trump who calls out their lies and distortions.

unless it's legit then it is a valid headline/news.

i'm hoping for that and some other follow-up.
According to Bloomberg article quotes from various vested parties in article,

WH:
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer denied a report by the Associated Press that President Donald Trump was considering using the National Guard to round up undocumented immigrants.
That is 100 percent not true. It is false," Spicer told reporters aboard Air Force One, calling the AP’s report that Trump may call up as many as 100,000 troops "irresponsible.
Spicer said he had no information about the origin of the report.

AP:
The Associated Press cited an 11-page draft memo it said was written by Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, and said that the White House and Kelly’s agency did not respond to requests for comment.

National Guards:
The National Guard says it hasn’t seen any proposal or where it came from.
The National Guard Bureau is aware of the reports in the media regarding a proposal to activate 100,000 troops to support immigration missions,” Defense Department spokesman Major Jamie Davis said in an e-mail. “However, we have received no official notification to execute any activations at this time".

Nor from HSD internal source for Bloomberg:
A Homeland Security Department official who insisted on anonymity to describe internal deliberations said the memo was an early idea that was never seriously considered.

Basically some old memo which AP is trying to recycling it with current headline which says " WH weighs mobilizing national guards for immigration roundups".

exactly how is trump "standing up" to the media? by lying?

in the press conference trump repeatedly called the media liars but offered no support for his claim. then he goes on to offer two lies of his own, the ego-centric claim about electoral votes and the claim that 80% of the 9th court rulings are reversed ( the truth is it's less than .15% ).
