I'm not quite sure what making produce cheaper will accomplish? It's already one of the cheapest categories of items in every grocery I've ever been into regardless of where I have lived.

All food turns to sugar. But those that are protein or complex carbs, gains, lugumes at healthy. Refined flour, sugar are spiking quickly in the blood with little nutrients. Lots of calories but hunger comes quickly.

Agree about the corn lobby, but it's also the soda corporations greed with their ever increasing serving size that's a big part of the problem. When I grew up cokes came in 6 1/2 ounce bottles. Now people buy a 32oz at a fast food place and take home a re-fill.

And btw for the OP, the problem isn't in the west, it's the mid and southwest where they really grow'em big...

Michelle Obama is an amazing woman. Attempting to get US kids to eat healthier and to move more was a much needed initiative.

How didn't she? No one has arms as cut as Michelle Obama's without putting in the workout time.

The soda companies are greedy bc they offer larger sizes?
Or the people are greedy for consuming them?
Let's put blame where it really is.
We don't drink soda and haven't for years. It's an easy choice to make.
