She wanted a round table of Black reporters to meet with Hillary because Ryan felt HRC wasn't energizing the Black vote. She mentioned in the email that she had talked to two Black reps (who are in the CBC) but never technically said they wanted a meeting. Yes, it's reasonable to infer that mentioning the two members of the CBC would pressure Hillary into a meeting with the Black reporters.

She sent a 2nd email "name dropping" those two Black members. The way I read it was she did so more for a seat at this proposed Black reporter/Hillary summit that was to promote HRC to Blacks. Not just a seat but being the person who coordinated the meet.
Having dinner with Podesta also doesn't do anything for her "I'm just a reporter" stance.

A reporter talked to two members of congress, care to take a guess how many reporters have talked to members of congress at some point in their careers? how many white reporters in that room have talked to a member of the black caucus at some point during their career? That excuse is past ridiculous. Lets go back to Trump its not a politician as excuse that has a bit more thread left.
BTW even by the hacked emails that just yesterday you guys were upset about a conversation from a private citizen (flynn) being leaked, she did not offer to set up a meeting between the black caucus and hillary, but black reporters I guess all groups of black people are the same.

This information was known in October. It's part of the two lists of "reporters" who either got an invite to dine with Hillary or Podesta. Ryan got passed over for HRC but made Podesta's cut.
Something like 75ish total.
