There is one thing that is going to give the Democratic Party a real boost............Donald J. Trump. This win of his has awakened a lot of people who were once apolitical, and they are not gravitating toward the GOP. You watch what happens in 2018, people who never thought of voting will be out in record numbers. The GOP will have a hard time recovering from the stench of a Trump Presidency.

There is a big difference between the Democratic Party of the Bill Clinton years or even Obamas first term versus today .

The current Dem party has gone very far to the left . Caught up in worshipping illegals and criminals and obsessed with identity politics instead of actually identifying how to fix problems for Americans .

They are trying to outdo each other to see who can embrace the most absurd leftist policies.

And the reason so many Republicans voted 3rd party, stayed home, or voted for Trump, instead of the 16-17 other candidates? Forgot about them, huh? Republican voters were highly PO'd!

Still focusing on only one race? In four years the Republicans will still control the majority of state houses and governorship, which means in 2022 they will control the redistricting process. In four years the contests at both the state legislator level and the house of Representatives will be run under the 2010 District lines, a significant disadvantage. In 2018, the Democrats will have to defend something like 23(~) Senate seats, 10 of which are states that were lost by Democrats in the presidential elections. A long way to go before any talk of Dem landslides.

A few leading figures who will step up to the plate and stop the bullying and childish behavior is what the party needs so badly.

Without getting people at the top who will acknowledge that the party needs to gain trust again and a respected leader who will stop the non sense, the party will implode further and it may take more than a decade to get back on the rails.
The Democratic party has been taken over by extremist.

OK, I get it.

"We won! Everybody SHUT UP!"

Very amusing.

Are you tired of winning yet?

President: Republican
Senate: Republican
House: Republican
Supreme Court: Conservative
State Legislature: majority Republican
Governorships: 33 of 50 Republican

Dems: worst shape since the 1920s and face an unfavorable 2018 Senate map

The libs here are flat out insane. When will they get the help that they need?

That number you referenced is no larger than it was for Kerry voters who supported McCain.

Supporting letting in Muslim terrorists,

sanctuary cities for criminal illegal aliens,

taking guns away from law-abiding citizens so that they can be killed in gun-free zones,

casual murder of the innocent unborn,

forcing Christians to participate in gay weddings,

special bathroom privileges for men wearing dresses,

telling the police to stand down and let people riot,

reverse discrimination,

playing the race and women cards,

adding the xenophobia, homophobia and Islamophobia cards (transphobia card on the way),

obsessing over "white privilege" and "white supremacy",

having leaders like Pocahontas, Al Sharpton and Keith Ellison,

etc.,

hasn't worked out well for the Democrats.

So I hope they keep it up!
