Fugitive filmmaker Roman Polanski plans to return to the United States and is seeking assurances he will do no further jail time over unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl.
The award-winning director of "The Pianist" and "Chinatown," who has been on the run for almost 40 years, claims he reached a plea deal in the case that would keep him out of prison, his attorney Harland Braun told AFP.
And the thing about it. If he had simply stayed in the USA, let due process take its course for, paid the price for what he did to that little girl, it most likely would have been over with long ago.
IMO, he doesn't deserve any consideration. He's a rapist and a fugitive.
If there was ever a time when a fugitive sexual deviant could figure he has a good chance at returning with a "get out of jail free" card, it's when a sexual deviant heads our government.

Naw, Bills gone now. And pretty much all of Polanski's Hollywood buddies are Dems anyway.
Polanski makes wonderful movies, and his movies can be in the US whether or not he can't be.
If he wants to come back and face the music, that's fine by me. It's also fine by me if he never comes back.
