Interesting article comparing Trump's tactics to Hitler's tactics with the Munich Post.

https://lareviewofbooks.org/article/...n-munich-post/

Quote:
A week after Hitler came to power on January 30, 1933, the Munich Post published their regular murder survey under the headline “Nazi Party Hands Dripping with Blood,” enumerating the bloody casualties: 18 dead, 34 wounded in street battles with the SA Stormtroopers.

These are the headlines that followed in daily succession:

“Germany Under the Hitler Regime: Political Murder and Terror”

“Blood Guilt of the Nazi Party”

“Germany Today: No Day Without Death”

“Brutal Terror in the Streets of Munich”

“Outlaws and Murderers in Power”

“People Allow Themselves to Be Intimidated”

The era of normalization had begun everywhere else, but the Munich Post resisted.

The Munich Post lost, yes. Soon their office was closed. Some of the journalists ended up in Dachau, some “disappeared.” But they’d won a victory for truth. A victory over normalization. They never stopped fighting the lies, big and small, and left a record of defiance that was heroic and inspirational. They discovered the truth about “endlösung” before most could have even imagined it. The truth is always worth knowing. Support your local journalist.

Bet he doesn't want to go back as far as his Radio Propaganda Speech on Radio Hanoi, about the "Crimes" he said he committed against the North Vietnamese Citizens.

And we really care what he has to offer. Maybe he has not noticed that the Black Clad Protesters out there burning, destroying, and attacking Trup supporters are much like the "Brown Shirts"that supported Hitler, so he can't be talking about Trump. Thats what happens when you get old and senile, you forget who is who.

The parallels are undeniable. While I will not go as far to say that Trump has the same agenda, he certainly seems to have taken a page out of the same book in many ways.

I protested Trump right here in NY and there was zero violence and no, I cannot speak for others or even know for sure who they are even if you provided a specific link. Most people that are anti-Trump are not participating in violence but the very person you support called for violence at his campaign rallies and there is no excuse for that. All I have hear from Donald Trump is negativity, divisiveness and dog whistle rhetoric and it's getting pretty old pretty quickly for most Americans. He's a one trick pony.

John Mccain is so bitter that Trump did what he couldn't in winning the presidency.
Yes I even voted for Obama over Neocon Mccain and I am a Trump Supporter.

Trump and his supporters are attempting to silence the rest of us.

Please remember that we have seen ALL of this before. Let us not stick our heads in the sand and falsely believe that 1930s Germany could never happen here in America....because it IS happening in America.

We can not give an inch, not one inch to the new rise of fascism that is unfolding before our eyes. Our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will wonder why we did not stop this. Why we did not fight harder to stop this tragedy from happening.

Democracy is only as strong as our own individual resolve. Many of us were complacent during this last election. We were distracted by paper tigers and straw men. Both Dems and Reps.

Hold fast because it is going to get really bumpy over the next 4 years. And we all know who is truly pulling the strings on this puppet show.

Cannot rep you again

The only way The USA can be brought down is from within and we must remain vigilante and never let this administration forget that it will be held accountable and that we are watching.

Ooooo, you and Cali are so intimidating! And you are going to be a vigilante too!
The left-leaning media has had a long unopposed run. It's now shall I say, in transition. It will take many years, but the heat is on.
Sounds like it's going to be a tough eight-plus years for you people.

There's always the possibilty he might be gone before his first year. Real shame if something were to happen.....
