I think he's had enough, and needs a break. It's beyond a political round table where they discuss differences of opinion but at the end of the day are still civil. I think those who are doing this for a living can't take much more. It's constant hate, constant fear, it has to be taxing. I hope they have an onsite psychologist for the poor guy. He really needs a break.
The sky isn't falling, and people can still be civil at the end of a political conversation. That goes both ways.
Maybe it's a rule , touching may not be acceptable period. Especially on tv .
