The sad part is Trump supporters will believe him. Can't wait until he complains about the media not covering the great battle of Sweden because conspiracy.
In other words......He DIDNT say that there was a "terrorist attack" in Sweden on Friday.
Thanks for playing!
Trump leaves the door wide open for viewers to fill in the blanks with their very worst fear. Roving bands of immigrant rapists? Sure, that fits. Terrorist attack? That fits, too. What does it matter? We're living in a post-trust world, and he's the lead fabricator.
You right wingers need to stick with the "well, Obama said there were 57 states" defense in this thread.
Trump said what he said. He either misspoke or he lied. Don't keep trying to find some sort of middle ground that isn't there.
I didn't vote for Trump. Just stating the facts. I am just as critical of Republicans as I am of Democrats in office. We all need to look at our politicians with a critical and objective eye no matter who is in office.
He clearly misspoke or lied (although if he was lying he would surely know that he would be called on it so I'd bet that he misspoke or misunderstood) when he added in the two words "last night". Do you have anything to say about the press misreporting that he said anything about a terrorist attack?
So that's an acceptable excuse to create alternative facts? Is that how this works?
Is it acceptable to pretend that he claimed that there was a "terrorist attack"? That's as much as an "alternative fact" as his claim that something happened "last night" in Sweden.
While it is weird that he said, "last night" everything else is true. I also find it weird that it's being reported that he said there was a terrorist attack when he didn't and people here and elsewhere are claiming that he did (that's weird too). He's referring to the problems that have come with allowing refugees from certain countries into places like Sweden and Germany like increased and sometimes mass sexual assaults. It's pretty obvious what he was referring to but for whatever reason is being spun into something else because he added in the two words "last night".
Precision and clarity in language are extremely important for someone in his position, and I wish he and his team would take that seriously. If he did mean general immigrant issues, removing the two words 'last night' create that meaning. His saying that they are having general issues does not, however, make it so, so there's that problem.
In other words......He DIDNT say that there was a "terrorist attack" in Sweden on Friday.

So what do YOU think he was referring to, Einstein, when talking about keeping our country safe from immigrants and citing countries that take in large amounts of refugees? The local football match?

Not sure if you've noticed, but Trump gets called on his lies constantly and neither him nor his cult worshippers care. He says flat out lies, that we back up with video evidence, and it makes no difference to him.
So no he definitely lied. He is a pathological liar.
