Trump's die hard supporters will dig deep to find an ounce of truth in his statement even if 15 ounces is false. Then they'll spin his statement to say "he really meant xyz". Then they'll say that the liberals are unhinged snowflakes that are dwelling on non-issues because they lost in November. They might even give a link to Preparation-H web site and tell the liberals they need it.

I don't know what "news" you read, if you read at all, but he didn't make it up. I have read the stories coming out of Sweden.
Maybe those fake cable news reports. Seems the POTUS saw something on cable news but only saw the headline and not the whole story
