Well, IC, he has promised, in public, to silence and prosecute the media for " fake news" . You know, sort of like the Bowling Green Massacre and the terror attack in Sweden that didn't happen? Fake news. I refuse to believe that my fellow Americans are stupid as dirt, so I view the reality tv guy president as a protest vote.

You know it's legal to sue the media for libel and defamation of character, no? And neither has anything to do with silencing the media in any way. They'll still be free to report verifiable facts.

You say you're smart, a Gen-Xer (so old enough to know better), and you somehow don't know these things? /SMH

...and THAT is exactly why the left are bleeding power. As long as you discount and disregard what the "other half" of the country feels the bleeding will continue.

I wonder what you'll feel when he is handed a super majority

I never realized horse**** was worse than bull****. I also don't see anything in the Constitution or bill of rights saying the president can't criticize the media. As long as he doesn't try to shut down the press, he is still within the law.

I wouldn't worry too much about dictators in this country, and least not from the right. If we get one, it will come from the left.

All Trump has done so far has been to have a bad rollout of one EO, which has been fixed by the courts, and enforced existing laws on immigration. And said some really stupid things and focused far too much on the election and ratings when he should know when to shut up.

Americans are so stupid they don't understand what freedom of the press and religion mean. All freedom of the press means is that the government can't shut down or silence the media. It in no ways means that the press are constitutionally protected from criticism. So long as all trump does is blast the press in speeches and the written word, then he has not violated the first amendment.

It really is interesting. The OP summed it up. The way they are acting you'd think they were the ones that won control of the government
