All i want to say, as a woman who lived through the "women's movement" for real, not these snotty nosed liberal children, we need to respect each other and support each other.
I think this assessment of Ms. Trump is pretty fair. I certainly watched her speak at the RNC, and I thought that she did a credible job, especially for a person not accustomed to public speaking. But I would not call it commanding a room. I also came on here on CD and defended her when the plagiarism charges broke, for I did not believe, and still don't, that she wrote her own speech, but trusted whomever did, and read it in good conscious and innocence.
I also do not consider Ms. Clinton to have been possessed of much 'stage presence'. I would listen to her speak, but I only thought of her as a 'fair' speaker.
Now, Ms. Trump may, with practice, become a very effective speaker. Some will recall that Elanor Roosevelt was a very timid speaker at first (or, so I have always been told my parents and others), but she strove and worked at speaking and became, by all accounts, a commanding speaker in her own right.
I will add, from my experience, that when Bill Clinton had his 'coming out' speech at a DNC, he bored the crowd (and me watching on television) to tears. Yet, with practice, he became a pretty good speaker (I disregard his appearance at the latest DNC; he did ok, but age will tell).
Nevertheless, each person has their own opinion. If the OP believes in his heart that the First Lady is a wonderful, commanding speaker, then more power to him. Perhaps someday her collected speeches will be issued in a collection for him to enjoy. As it stands right now, it would be a pretty short publication. Take out those parts that aren't original (from the RNC speech and the Lord's Prayer), and it becomes shorter still.
I have seen HRC speak a few times, and nowadays she is pretty good. She has definitely practiced and become more polished over the years.
I don't know what it is about her, but she has more power over the audience than any other woman in America.
Its not just because she's married to the most famous man in world history.
She has even more power in her speeches than Ivanka, and Ivanka is a future President.
Oh please, she has no power. She isn't even in the white house yet and may never be. I think all first ladies have been amazing since day one when their husbands took office.
I'm sure that the reason she's staying in NYC is to have a nice, long vacation from her sugar daddy. There are schools for the kid in DC, after all.
Unfortunately the taxpayers have to foot the bill for the lavish lifestyle of these billionaires.
I think the child might be special needs. There is unsubstantiated rumor that Trump referred to his kid as a retard on the set of The Apprentice. Also, others have noticed behaviors that could indicate autism. Changing schools is hard for any kid, but for a special needs kid, it's worse. It sucks that it costs so much to secure Trump Towers.
Melania seems like a nice lady. It's regrettable that the family always takes a social media beating. I hated it when they did that to the Obamas as well. It's just... mean. I think she has probably had enough meanness in her life.
I like Ivanka Trump. She seems like a nice lady as well. Hopefully, she can blunt some of Bannon's influence.
I think they are both attractive ladies as well, but the OPs swooning is kind of funny.
She looks like an alien who fell in a vat of Botox.
