Might take an election or two for that recovery, but in the end I see them regrouping without the Tea Party and the radical right-wing nutcases, and having more to offer than the Democrats.
Totally false.

Donald Trump was featured on CNN at the 1988 GOP Convention because he was a Republican Bush41 bundler and attended as his guest.

12 years later, he changed parties in 1999 to the Independence Party.

He was only a Democrat for seven years of his life. 2001 - 2008.

He was a registered McCain 2008 bundler and supported Romney 2012.

Why do people just repeat what they "think" they heard and refuse to research ANYTHING. Even something this simple.

He's also written books over the years and can be SEEN ON YOUTUBE contemporaneously espousing basically the VERY SAME political opinions he has today.

True or false?
I have no idea, but I do think that our political system is in a period of transition and that party lines and platforms are being redrawn. Where they'll end up I can't yet discern.

Trump is more of a last gasp for the boomers than the Republican party imo. He's the embodiment of all that's awful about the boomer generation.

Not that all boomers are awful before you guys all jump down my throat

I don't know if it's the last gasp but I don't see how anyone will ever listen to an evangelical again. They are just a complete and total joke after supporting Trump. And I don't know if anyone will ever believe tax cuts for the rich will suddenly boost the economy but Republicans keep convincing the rubes of that so they deserve it. I don't know how taking health care away from poor people is a "win" for the GOP but they seem quite proud of hurting the poor, even in red states, so...congrats? Every day the Republican part show themselves to be the absolute nastiest example of humanity.
