Agreed. So many people are swallowing Trump's Koolaid. The vetting process takes at least two years and that was before Trump ever arrived on the scene. Should we allow refugees? Yes. Why? Because that's part of caring for our fellow suffering human beings. I can't believe how selfish some people are. These people are fleeing violence, war, famine, epidemics, poverty, and all sorts of horrible things in their home countries, and people want to refuse them entry to the US out of greed and egotism. That's horrible.
Have you signed up to take them in your home and pay their bills!
What about giving money to help them in their own region where there are enough places to build safe zones.
When I see some of the comments on threads like this, I realize that God's little experiment here on earth isn't working out the way he hoped, I bet. We humans basically hate one another.
Conservatives are less evolved, hence their irrational fear of those who are "different" from them. Evolution will eventually show them door, but the damage they leave behind may be too much to overcome.
Why are we only going to be multi cultural if we let refugees in who don't assimilate as we have enough proof how bad it is, as can be seen in Europe.
Why can't the left see that people who are considered refugees come from countries that don't accept multi cultural society as try to build a synagogue or church over there and you can see how multi cultural they are.
How many blacks and hispanics, Jews, Hindu, etc live in these countries without fear.
How free are you to be a catholic in these countries.
Why is the left so dumb and naive and if they really believe this to be true then let them live in their homes

Yup, it's obvious the Statue of Liberty has rendered itself an anachronism. Let's melt her down and stamp out "I Attended Trump's Inauguration" medallions (although we'll only need 6 or 7 hundred thousand of 'em).

Of course, they get to come to much more stable countries, unlike their own. Unfortunately they will just recreate their culture here, its not like they become Secular Humanist just by moving here. They also get to spread their religion at the same time It's a win win for them.
Most probably the obsession with refugees for many Liberals comes from the fact they never really did travel anywhere in their time. Yes, talk about it only, no more worldly than a rural farmer in the Midwest, the typical source of their mockery.
Now, this fact does sit well for many Liberals. So, to create some distance from their country cousins, they assume a rather pretentious and fake attitude towards foreigners. Maybe overcompensating for their own lack of knowledge about the World in general?.
I took a course in UCB just two years ago. Always found it remarkable from talking with some students there how little they had traveled. In some cases, a rather cynical look at Europe and the World. So, this outrage about refugees etc. does not seem to gel with a genuine lack of interest in travel or learning about other cultures.
Once the chance comes to make a placard or protest sign about some or any cause for that matter, Liberals are chomping at the bit to go out and riot.
Well the CNN elites don't have to deal with the side effects
They are all millionaires
They may be millionaires, but talk is cheap. How many refugee families are they hosting in their mansions? How many live in their neighborhoods? Not every community wants to take in and support third world refuse in order to be "multicultural".
The CNN elites are probably having wet dreams fantasizing about punishing every county that went "red" in November by sending them a couple of smelly busloads of Syrians.
