Fake news. Probably conveyed by a 'Mr. John Barron' or 'John Miller' in the WH attempting to seek revenge on Streep. (Trump is known for pretending to be someone else on the phone right?)

But keep on with the poutrage and bashing of Hollywood--it's very entertaining.

“This is a completely untrue story,” Streep’s rep, Leslee Dart, told ET. “Ms. Streep would NEVER wear anything in exchange for payment. This can be corroborated by Nancy Walsh [director of public relations] at Chanel.”

Lightbulb Meryl Streep refuses to wear Chanel dress because Chanel refuses to pay her to wear the dress!https://www.google.com/am

https://www.google.com/amp/wwd.com/f...-10817502/amp/

Meryl Streep the biggest hypocrite in Hollywood doesn't want to wear a free dress unless she gets paid to wear the dress!!!

That's the type of person she is.... wait for her mental break down rant on Sunday in case you have nothing better to do or just don't watch as it will be shown over and over again on any channel.

We might watch the red carpet and the opening to see if that is nice but then tune into something else

Probably watch an episode is "This is us" which is a nice show to watch..at least up to where we are and hopefully we don't hear about the actors personal views on politics as we are only interested to see them act on the show.

A representative for Streep refuted the claim to The Hollywood Reporter, saying it is against her personal ethics to be paid to wear a gown on the red carpet.

Last but most important line of the article -- guess it was too much to read that far.

You too -- couldn't get to the last line of the article -- it was too long for you -- sorry...
Whatever dude.

Truth be told I didn't read the article at all. I just find her to be part of the completely stupid out of touch with reality Hollywood liberal tards.......

As much as I hate the politics of this pedophile-supporting celeb, I don't have a problem with Streep's position here. Indeed, the designer hopes to make big bucks by creating interest in the dress after the public sees Streep wear it. Why should Streep agree to do something that promises to enrich the designer for free?
