The R's in House will vote to fund it; but it will be stopped in the Senate. The popularity of both tRump and the wall have fallen in recent polls and the R's are getting a negative earful on it in their constituent meetings. If he were more popular and if the wall were more popular, R Senators might have backed it, but this WH has too many big money expenditures and the $$$ and support for the wall just isn't there.

Here's an article with enough R Senators questioning the wall funding, to stop it.

How the heck could any contractor have all the cost estimates in for a 1754 mile wall by the 27th of March?
It's just throwing a bone to the base. They have no money for this. They are issuing what's commonly called an RFI (request for information) which usually means we don't know what we want or how we will pay for it, so you design it and cost it out for us- then we will cherry pick the best of the ideas, try to source funding and issue a request for quote or request for proposal

The real idiocy of this is that in order to do it they need to seize a good deal of land through eminent domain because farmers have refused to sell their land. Here's a google spreadsheet with a list of contested land acquisitions for building the 'fence' and the length of time they took to settle: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1466917367

Yet congress thinks we have $113 billion a year supporting illegals vs a $25 billion wall? You make no sense.

Yep.

If people don't want to have to pay for the defense of the hundreds of lawsuits that will be brought against him year after year by the ACLU, SPLC, sanctuary cities, illegal alien advocates, Muslim terrorist advocates, and every other nutcase anti/un-American liberal/left group out there, then they would do well to suggest to their "resistance" friends not to sue him.

Especially considering the fact that they are not going to accomplish anything anyway.

Those Republican senators will be primaried out of office.

They are from states that voted for Trump, and they would be foolish to go against his number one campaign promise and reason for getting elected.

Alas, some of them are foolish, and will only "get it" after they are kicked to the curb.

By this time next year, the problem would be solved and revenues would be enhanced.

That won't deter criminals and terrorists from coming here as they aren't interested in jobs. Illegal aliens will still to continue to come here unless we eliminate birthright citizenship for their kids and benefits also as that is another means to support themselves. It has to be a total package including the wall.

That so called 'study' is badly flawed, please read about it before you continue to throw that 113 billion figure out as being 'factual' Donald Trump says illegal immigration costs $113 billion a year | PolitiFact

Or, better yet, send the bill to the people who employ them because THAT is why they are here.

Sorry, once it goes to the government you have NO say in WHERE it goes.

It is costing us a LOT MORE to pay for all the gov't expenses that go to ILLEGAL aliens then it will to build the wall.

We SAVE money for every illegal deported.

The wall WILL pay for itself in no time.

just big group call where people could ask questions and he made comments...
One person who got on the call list said that this guy/appropriations head said HE wan't OK w/paying for that wall and he had control over the budget...which he does...

There was no,official record of that transcript but at least one person recorded part of the call ...
Unfortunately not the part about paying for,the wall...
But Rachel was asking for anyone else w/a recording to make it public...which is legal in that state...
So maybe it will turn up...

I thought ypu were going have something of value to say but, I stopped right here, "TONITE ON Rachel Maddow show"

Without Congress there cannot be any process of eminent domain which will be needed as much of the border with Mexico runs along private property. That was the huge stumbling block with the last time this foolishness ( a fence) was begun.

Oh and there will also need to be various environmental impact studies including wildlife. Wait now; it also will include the Rio Grande since US and Mexico have various treaties regarding water rights.

Wouldn't be a bit surprised if that rat Bannon was behind this; pandering to the meanest Orangeness supporters to show they are doing *something*. If Congress does not play ball the likely plan is to strong arm them with threats of the Street, or some other bullying tactics.
"His Orangeness"

I sure hope you don't think people will take you serious.
