Don't like it?

Then don't come to/stay in this country.
No we shouldn't profile people with Muslim sounding names. Do you know how many innocent black people would be stopped? There are a ton of black folks with Muslim names who are law abiding American citizens.

What country were they from?
Portugal and The Netherlands and they used to work for the UN!

They always travel on tourist visa and indeed an immigration lawyer told them they may want to stay a little longer outside the country before coming back.

They always have return tickets and have health care insurance which was also a question when they came into the country.

The lawyer also told them that some airports are more difficult then others as we have noticed in the past when coming into the country and some border patrol officers never heard of our visa which often was a reason for them to search longer online but we never had an issue and if we had it would be for the safety of the USA.

Btw one of my kids has dual citizenship and she had an issue traveling into the country of birth using her passport of that country while people with a scarf were not asked any questions. She was livid at the time the way she was handled in Europe!

But we are not cry babies, we remember and move on but when your last name is Ali you want your 10 min of fame.

And even MORE likely to be killed if you're a Muslim woman by your Muslim partner, your Muslim family/clan, your Muslim neighbors, or your Muslim government.

If they don't want to be stopped, they can change their names back to normal American names.

Sorry, but I know no one who is not Muslim with a Muslim name.

Well then clearly you need to get out of your bubble because I have several friends with Muslim names who are not Muslim. Again, there are tons of blacks with Muslim names who are not Muslim just because you don't know any doesn't make it untrue.

I agree this was a bit over the top, but we don't know all circumstances involved here.
