/thread. I'm tired of this superiority complex many Christian conservatives have over Muslims, especially since many conservatives have never met any Muslims nor read a single verse in the Quran. I find it amusing that so many Christians harp endlessly about how Islam is the religion of hate when the Bible has many passages that preach about the virtues of violence. A lot so called Christians have done evil things, even men of the cloth.

OP, you live in a country that, by law, cannot favor one religion over another. Yes, I'm sorry to have to inform you that that means even those religions you don't like get the same treatment as your preferred one. Because we refuse to discriminate based on religion you pretend that means we "favor one over the other," but in truth, the opposite is true. We don't favor any one religion over any other.

So come on, 'fess up. That's what you really are pissed off about. You want your own religion to take precedence over all those other religions you don't like. Tough **** for you.

There are plenty of countries in the world that demand adherence to their religion of choice. If you are unhappy that the country you live in isn't one of them, no one is stopping you from seeking out your own fundamentalist paradise elsewhere. We won't miss you.

Women are not forced to cover 99% of their bodies. There's only a very small handful of countries that force it, and the rest is left up to personal choice

Liberal here. I'm an atheist. Most liberals I know are atheist or agnostic. We don't favor any religion. You're all crazy to us.
