This thread is ignorant to the fact that many people have bullet fragments left in the body to avoid further surgical procedures because they were considered to be harmless.

However, the study was about the effects of lead in our drinking water and other sources like paint. The headline refers to one of the findings, not the entire research project. From the article:

"According to Weiss, there has been a decreasing trend in elevated blood lead levels among adults thanks to reductions in environmental sources and improved protection from occupational exposure."

I suppose people here think we should still be using asbestos in insulation too because that study was on multiple causes of respiratory ailments.

And how do you know lead objects in the human body would not be covered up by some protein or stopped by the immune system from spreading toxic substances?

Science does not assume anything. And no matter how clear something might seem (science demands PROOF of its existence and PROOF of its effects.)
