Seems excessive on the jail time. Don't have a problem with them doing a little time though. What they did was wrong and stupid, the amount seems excessive though.

I can only imagine what these scumbags were thinking as they terrorized party-goers (mostly kids) with a shotgun:

"Hooray, Trump won! We can totally get away with this stuff now!"

Have fun in prison, Deplorables.
Happened in July 2015.

Obama's fault!

I have to be a little fair. I read the article, and completely missed the shotgun part too. The sentence seemed excessive so I found some other articles that pointed out the shotgun as more then just a side mention. I went back and re-read the original article and saw that it too had mentioned it.

Dunno how I missed it to be honest.

You didn't bother reading your own link, did you? This happened July 2015, one month after Trump announced his candidacy and 16 months before he won.

That said, I wouldn't shed a tear for these two idiots. Locking them up was the right move.

Thing is, you can't put "This law applies to brown people" in a bill - at least not yet.

I would say the rioters in Ferguson and Baltimore were better examples of gang terrorism. This is just some people getting drunk and acting stupid and we should let them learn from their mistakes. I highly doubt they are hardcore violent criminals.
They went after a little boy's birthday party. I'm sure he was traumatized and will remember this the rest of his life. This is 2017 for god's sake. When will the racism stop. And no they were not drunk. They belonged to a group...respect the flag. The party members had a gun pointed at them and stated they were going to be killed. Enough is enough with these hate crimes.

The amount of jail time is pretty ridiculous, period.

It seems like the courts wanted to make an example of them, instead of being fair and decent.

Which is unsurprising to me, because the courts are completely politicized, and a total embarrassment.

I think for what happened maybe a year in prison would be appropriate plus probation and community service.

Think about the fact that a lot of the ghetto protesters in Baltimore who were convicted of actual violent acts including arson and aggravated assault against police got shorter sentences than these two.
It's terrism for y'all country folks... And I am from the south, and this crap might have scarred my children. Fl does not uphold conf rebel flags anymore.
