Say WHAT? I am about to go to my optometrist for a checkup because I don't believe I am seeing what I think I am seeing.

Trump says 'sometimes it's the reverse' when asked about anti-Semitic incidents: report | TheHill
Quote:
President Trump reportedly said "sometimes it's the reverse" when asked about the wave of recent anti-Semitic incidents across the country.
Trump made the comments to a group of state attorneys general Tuesday, an attendee told BuzzFeed News.
"He just said, 'Sometimes it's the reverse, to make people — or to make others — look bad,' and he used the word 'reverse,' I would say two to three times in his comments," Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro told BuzzFeed after the meeting.

"He did correctly say at the top that it was reprehensible."

Shapiro said Trump would be speaking about the issue during his address to Congress on Tuesday night.

"I really don't know what he means, or why he said that,” Shapiro said, adding that he hopes the president will clarify the remark.

"It didn't make a whole lot of sense to me."
At least he somewhat condemned the acts, probably doublespeak to give him some plausible deniability. Why can't he simply just outright condemn these acts instead of playing footsie? Is he really THAT afraid of offending the Alt-Right neo Nazis?

Trump is so repulsive and inept as a human being, people actually give him a pat in the head when he states the plainly obvious.

There's nothing to see here.

He's playing to his base. Many of them have a firm belief that any accusation involving racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, etc is blown out of proportion or a hoax.

When that kind of stuff does happen (or is even suspected of happening) it is widely reported all over right leaning media in hysterical fashion. It is part of the "truth" they swear the media does not report.

"Sometimes it's the reverse" should be on Trumps tombstone.

That's what I was thinking when I read the article. He already denounced it a few times already...

Reading the article it is apparent that the question came from an attendee (i.e. attorney general) and not the media.

In before, "BUT HIS JEWISH DAUGHTER AND GRANDCHILDREN," as if that makes one iota of a difference.

Thrump is rightfully cautious about alienating himself from his core group of supporters
