They didn't just ignore her. People called her crazy and ignorant. And apparently a lot of people said the same thing about Ryan Owen's widow.

And because the professional political class of the Republican Party also did nothing an outsider moved in with immigration as his wedge issue . President Trump was on his way to the outside party's nomination and then went on to the win over the establishment to become President

You mean, like Dems ignore the 2500+ servicemen and women that died on Obama's watch? But somehow focus on the 1 so far on Trump's?

Yeah, this is bad. However, critics of immigration tend to paint them all with the same, broad brush. They ignore that immigrants overall are good people, work at least as hard as the Americans already in the country, and that immigration is literally what America's about.

Immigration is not literally what America is about. Are you even an American? Who told you this nation was about immigration?

Read the Declaration of Independence..it tells you what the country is about, why it exists, and who it is for.

Re-read the topic heading. It's not about immigrants but "illegal aliens" and a father whose son was murdered by one.

Not all of them start off that way.

A republican responded to a similar concern with illegal aliens, which I will pass on to you folks... *Womp Womp*

It's sad to hear Dems, acting this way. However, if we're keeping score, they've still got the high ground vs. their competition.

Not at first. I eventually got my citizenship. Where do you think all of us Americans originally came from?

Our ancestors may have come from somewhere else but most of us were born here and are generations removed from our immigrant ancestors so I don't get your point. We still allow in 1 million legal immigrants a year so what's the problem?

It's illegal immigration that is the objection.

Threads like these run contrary to the stereotype perpetuated even on this forum, that all people of 'color' are one big happy family and stick together.

Sure, some blacks may side with latinos under the political rainbow banner, but there are also many blacks against immigration of all kind. Blacks are being displaced from many traditional black cities. South Los Angeles is now majority Hispanic. Along with that displacement comes loss of power.

That's not going to sit well with any group.

I object to 1 million globally sourced legal immigrants per year too, but that's just me. I'd like to see zero net immigration.
