Most people screaming about Sessions lying under oath to congress had absolutely no problem with HRC doing the same thing.. Heck, they would have voted for her as President AFTER she lied to congress.
Franken is the one who screwed up by the way he worded the question. It was a "gotcha" question. But there's not much of a case here, which is why I'm laughing at Pelosi's tweet about Sessions needing to resign.
And I WANT Sessions to be replaced by a better candidate who's younger and not as southern, but......Sessions didn't do anything wrong here.
I'd love to see Sessions replaced by Cruz or several others; however, removing him over this nonsense would put us in the banana republic category. What's next, fist fights on the floor?
Isn't that special, Trump's takes on NATO during most of his campaign stump speeches while one of his early advisers, who is on the Armed services committee meets with the Russians during the campaign, but he doesn't recall the meeting. NATO is probably always a current topic of the Armed services committee's agenda.
http://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/topics_50090.htm NATO and Russia have profound and persistent disagreements; however, the Alliance does not seek confrontation and poses no threat to Russia.

Please quote where he said he did not remember what the meeting was about.
Are you just making things up?
Sessions does remember what these meeting were about? No problem, just submit the official transcripts of these meetings to the appropriate congressional committee.
That is exactly what someone says when they know they 50 times over guilty I do not remember
This needs to be investigated to the fullest and Sessions needs to step down he talked to Russia during the campaign.
One was a campaign promise, the other was a testimony under oath.
It wasn't a campaign promise. Obama was POTUS when he was selling ObamaCare by saying that that we could keep our doctor and our insurance.
Besides, your assertion that it is ok to repeatedly lie to the American people, but not ok for a Senator to lie to Congress is not a winning argument.
We don't even know if Sessions lied because he hasn't had a chance to clarify his remarks. It appears he thought that the questions were about the campaign, not about his job in the Senate. And that very well may be true, but now the democratic leadership is trying to spin the intent of the questioners.
He did not dispense false information. He was asked about an alleged Russian blackmail scheme and if Trump people were in contact with them about it? He was not. Simple.
Sessions does remember what these meeting were about? No problem, just submit the official transcripts of these meetings to the appropriate congressional committee.

You said he claimed he didn't remember the meetings. Where did he say that?
Oh, that's right he didn't, but you just don't know what the facts are here. You may want to educate yourself on this subject before inserting your foot in your mouth.
