Democrats and the MSM are looking for any boogyman to blame for their landslide losses in the elections.

This rather than admit the American people no longer consider them worthwhile to govern.

Because the Left needs a boogeyman in order to justify it's continued worship of identity politics and Russia is conveniently full of evil white people.

They saw what demonizing Americans did for them here....but they still can't resist themselves.

Progressive Lefties can no more abandon their race based world view than they can cut their own arms off.

It's so much a part of their ideology.... they honestly don't know anything else.

Because they don't want to be friends with us.

However, that should not mean that we do not try to develop that relationship to the extent we can and work together with the Russians where we have mutual interests, as we currently do on the space station.

Those people who want to make this a choice of polar opposites are either idiots or partisan trolls looking to create trouble where it does not necessarily need to exist.

Many governments across the world embrace globalism. The gradual disintigration of the nation states and their borders, and trade deals that bring up third world countries a tiny notch and in turn give workers in the 1st world the shaft. These corrupt politicians in places like the EU and America(especially the left) want increasingly huge centralized bureaucracy where elites in ivory towers dictate the winners and losers, gradually evicerating our constitution, rights, and country. Its about the least patriotic thing you can do.

Post USSR Russia strongly rejects this philosophy, just as Trump also appears to be. Under Putin they want strong nationalism and to be their own sovereign country who chooses their own destiny, instead of some unelected bureaucrats at the EU, UN, or with the American left. Sounds like a noble aspiration of a country to me, and somebody that ought to make an ally, at least in philosophy.

No, MAD is having the capability of killing all your enemies and their friends while knowing they're capable of doing the same to you.

Exactly.

This is the Russian mentality. This was shown on national television:

Gee! Then WHY do you suppose MORE Americans voted to have a Democrat in the WH?

Or, is that something YOU refuse to admit?
