I actually think that shows a lighter side of him. His interview showed a caring person.

Too bad he's got to bend over backwards finding out how to deflect, twist and dodge on behalf of the administration on the fly now.

Agreed, I've heard many speak of how he was before he was in his current role with fondness. People seem shocked by the change in his demeanor, but seeing who his boss is, it's not surprising.
