Of course, she turned out to be wrong about there not being enough morons.

If there is a silver lining to Trump's election victory, here it is. He exposed some people for what they are - useless and overly lauded. Fran Lebowitz is a shallow person's idea of an intellectual. There is obviously a big enough contingent of such people in New York to bow to this, ehm, towering intellect. The poor souls are even more clueless than she is if they expect her to predict anything about anything under the sun that happens outside of her publisher's office or favorite cafe.
They see her. They think If I were that smart, I too would combine the ugliest pair of boots with the most shapeless jeans I could find, and these oversized shirts with three sizes bigger jackets, just like they did back in the eighties where my time machine got stuck and I was too lazy to find a repairman. It's so exhausting.
Why don't I dare to so aptly show the world just how much I don't care. You'd see me sitting on Bill Maher show, with a snotty smirk on my face, making little derisive remarks about Bernie because he had that idiotic idea to leave the beloved New York as a young man - who does that - and go to - ew, ew, ew - Vermont. And that's why I like Hilary. And I didn't like her before. And this is very important to you Vanity Fair readers. What I used to like and dislike. And what I like and dislike now. So that you can adjust your preferences accordingly.
Bwahaha
ps
btw. Notice how both she and the object of her derision here, beside a complete lack of style, also have a
complete disdain towards poor people. Why would every person who lacks money necessarily dream of Trump's tacky lifestyle? It's simply not true.
