Young people are always majority liberal.

Then they grow up, learn to be responsible... and as a direct result, become conservative.

The ratio between conservative and liberal is no different today, than it was thirty years ago. Or 60. Or 100.
It doesnt make sense that people will automatically embrace massive corruption as they age. The Republican party is basically an extended version of the Chamber of Commerce and the ruling donor class. They simply dont care about the needs of the 99%. Why would a working stiff decide to carry the water for the ruling donor class? Why not vote for people who are not beholden to the big money interests instead?

Once all the old sexist racist people die and the young people of today take power the world will be far more fair, accepting, equitable and peaceful.

Keep dreaming snowflake! You won't be around to see it, because it "ain't" going to happen.

Young people eventually grow up and learn how to interpret the media, politicians, etc to think for themselves. The brain doesn't fully mature until late 20's.

Not necessarily.

1980s-born Millennials are quite a bit more conservative now than they were in 2008 when they helped elect Barack Obama. '90s-borns are still overwhelmingly liberal but that will probably change as well.

However, the Republican platform will have to change. Millennials as a whole, even conservative ones, don't have the hangups regarding homosexuality that older people do and also support ending the drug war and legalizing cannabis.

I don't know..

I was born in 1985 (not that young). Majority of my friends of my own age are conservatives. (not necessarily Republicans) I can only speak for myself, so it is interesting to find out I am the minority.

I never cared about gay marriage, abortion.. Not important issues for me. Live and let live.

Does NEED justify SLAVERY?
Then all slavers must merely show NEED to justify their actions.

. . .
I believe that is unacceptable.
Voluntary charity is a blessing.
Compulsory charity is a curse.

A government instituted to secure endowed rights to life, liberty and private property ownership becomes an abomination when it TAKES from one to GIVE to another, under threat, duress and / or coercion. Such a government is at odds with the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE and the Republican Form of Government.

From all outward appearances, the USA capitulated in 1933, and has been reorganized as a "benevolent" totalitarian police state in transition to full socialism.

Based on the law on the books, this abomination was done by CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED.
But I do not recall when I was informed of HOW and WHEN I gave consent to this, or of my options to not participate.
Do YOU know how and when you consented?

These "issues" are less about what people identify as and more towards what those definitions even mean anymore.

People love to act as though there are hard lines between all things, but in the real world most people do not fall strictly all one way OR the other.

lol, I did the exact opposite - I was a Republican for decades and now I am a Democrat. I was much more
conservative when I was younger than what I am now.

There use to be an old saying "A conservative is just a Liberal who has been mugged."
I am just a Conservative that lost her job (and Medical Insurance with it) during the Bush Recession.
It made me realize that just a bad turn or two can devastate a person - and there should be some sorts
of safety nets for people when that happens.

I can tell you that my son and all of his friends (all college students or just out of University) are all very
Liberal. I haven't met a Conservative one yet.

All the liberals I know have been saying this about the young since the 1960's and we now have the most elected Republicans in 150 years and repubs control the House, Senate, Prez, SC, and state legislatures and Governors....something is not jibing.
