Now let's put on our logic cap and think hard about this. If they'd found something,anything even close to damning would anyone in their wildest imagination believe that it wouldn't have been trotted out well before election day to deny Trump the win?

What "seems" to have happened (again if allegations are true) is a bunch of "if's,maybe's,could have's and it's possible" along with many innuendos were found but no solid proof of anything illegal was found so instead of being able to charge anything they just leak the aforementioned stuff as much as possible and hope for at least a neutering of Trump.
That's sort of a "heads I win, tails you lose" scenario. If the FBI went public with its investigation in October, you'd be crying bloody murder. The FBI goes public after the election, and now you say you know the evidence is weak because if it weren't then Obama would have dropped the hammer long ago.
This completely discounts the likelihood that the investigation is extremely complex and requires a Herculean effort to analyze and assess human sources (which are not all subject to US subpoena power) as well as an intricate web of financial relationships. It's not like the FBI can't uncover other wrongdoing in the course of this investigation. Trump was fined by FinCen for anti-money laundering violations. It could be possible that that's under further review as well.
Federal investigations take a long time. It's not like a shoplifting case brought in juvenile court.

I wouldn't doubt it. The congressional republicans didn't start liking Trump just because he got elected. After all, he ran against them too, and was quite insulting about it.

Obama order this to take place. It was not the FBI. And when he was denied the first time, he went to another FISA Judge that was just as progressive and marxist has he, to have it happen. The wiretapping continues to this day.

Was it Russian tampering with the election when Obama promised Putin more flexibility after the 2012 election? So mean old Romney who correctly called Russia a geo-political adversary wouldn't get elected while Obama either foolishly or deceitfully scolded Romney for doing so...
Essentially Obama told Putin not make any ripples before the election, but to wait and get more leeway...and then he would use this longer leash after the election...which resulted in it back firing with Putin taking liberties in Crimea and eastern Ukraine.
