Why is human HEALTH less important to them than big business?

If everyone is sick or dead.. money and business won't help you. Why is that not clear?

I'm waiting for the knee-jerk "Liberals hate business". NOPE.. we would rather people actually be alive and healthy so they can run their businesses.

I love the environment especially now that it's warming up globally.

Because they are, on average, old. They don't care because they will be dead before it matters,

You do understand that the EPA is not synonymous with the environment, right? That's what many conservatives take issue with.

Just because they are intended for a good thing doesn't mean they shouldn't be checked if they get carried away with laws that don't actually affect public health.

Outside of politics human health and the environment is important to most republicans. Republicans care about their own, their families, and their friends personal health just like liberals do, and while doing things like hunting or fishing republicans will often outperform liberals in regards to respect of nature and animal rights.

Only in politics do republicans loose their minds in regards to human health and the environment, and today's republicans are unable to comprehend what they are doing in American politics.

In reality the Washington republicans are a corporate group that wants to abolish the EPA so large corporations can pollute more and make higher profits, and in reality Trumps/republicans cuts to EPA funding could someday give millions of Americans cancer or damage America's ecosystems in unthinkable ways. But in a republicans mind the Washington republicans are the good guys simply desiring to reduce unneeded regulations in order to create more jobs and lower Americans electric bills.

And in the future man-made global warming could end life as we know it. But in a republicans mind man-made global warming is just a irrational liberal fear or a hoax brought fourth by a network of communists in order to turn America and the whole world into communists.

Republicans don't hate human life or the environment, rather they are gullible followers who do not have the mental ability to comprehend what the large corporations that control the republican party are doing to endanger human health and the environment.

In Texas the state environmental agency implemented flexible emission management for refineries. Suppose the total output for one emission was 400 pounds and it had to be reduced by 200 pounds. If you had four processes each producing 100 pounds you could for example reduce 2 of them to 0 to conform to the law. The flexibility allows the refinery to choose the most efficient and cost effective way to meet these regulations. The EPA cam in and said you can't do that, you need to remove them from each process.

The end result is the same no matter which way you do it, the EPA mandate just cost more.

You want some more examples?

There is a balance between protecting the environment and protecting the interests of business and ultimately the consumers that buy their products. The DOT could implement regulations that all cars be built to the safety standards of NASCAR. This would reduce fatal accidents tremendously. It's impratical because no one could afford the car.
