I look at this in the same context that I look at land-claims by many Native Americans. Yes, a lot of what happened to Native Americans and their land is terrible, but much of what occurred happened when we operated in a world of land possession via conquest. While we no longer operate in a world of taking title to land via conquest, that was the norm at one point; note, it was the universal norm, too, and even different African groups/nations/tribes partook in it. Acknowledging that this was the universal norm for centuries, what I have a problem with is folks only taking white people to task for certain actions in this regard. Again, everyone did this. Doesn't make it right, but it puts a whole different context in the conversation. If you're going to push to resettle people and bring about land reform, you have to properly compensate people who are the beneficiaries of universally-accepted practices of the past. If you don't, you risk endless war and shunning by the international community.

Yeah, that worked out so well for Zimbabwe. Will they be begging for those white businessmen in a year's time like Zimbabwe did?

This is poor journalism at best; it reads as doom and gloom content appealing to a white nationalist sentiment but I think the writer is also misinformed. I guess a return to "pre-colonial land audit of land use and occupation patterns” is code for land grabs from whites.

The article mentions nothing about confiscation and nothing about snatching away land from the white people.

straight from the horse's mouth.

This may seem strange and unconventional to many, but many South Africans saw this coming. There is a growing concern among white citizens that their future is uncertain. I never been to South Africa so I would like to hear from anyone over there. Are tensions high? Is some sort of huge backlash in the works among the upper(political and economic elite) black class?

It isn't illegal immigrants, its undocumented immigrants.

It isn't rape, it is unwanted loving advances.

It isn't theft, it is wealth redistribution.

It isn't confiscation, it is land reform.

War is peace!

Freedom is slavery!!!

Just another basket case nation in Africa. They do need to do something about the land ownership situation there but they apparently haven't learned anything from the Zimbabwe disaster. Peace and prosperity never come to a nation where people want revenge for something that happened before they were born either.
