But that's for another day and another thread. No wait - that is this thread. What happens to someone elderly who qualifies for a Medicaid bed in a nursing home but who under block grants cannot obtain funding? An unmarried son or daughter caring for them would qualify for lower taxes with a head-of-household filing status that will disappear if Trump has his way.
I care for a ill elderly mother, now on Hospice. She is just above poverty and she couldn't get a damn dime of help. Our family worked and paid taxes, she did too, we never took a dime of help but asked when she needed it most. If she could work, she'd do it in a nanosecond. Don't even go there because I got an earful to give you! Some other able bodied dead beat is sucking up. Don't even go there <pure disgust> at able bodied people who can work but don't.

This disaster of a "replacement plan" will be known as TRUMPNOCARE.

DOA in the Senate. Won't pass written like this.

People should bear in mind that this bill is going to be debated and will changed substantially over the coming weeks and months. There's a whole lot more stakeholders who will be making their positions known. The hospitals, insurers, pharma, and medical professionals have not even weighed in yet. In the end, it will be them who shape the final bill. I expect it to look a lot more like Obamacare than not.

With several Republicans in the Senate coming out against is (as of now), how is this even going to get 50 votes?

but trump loves them, he wont let them get hurt!

just look at trumps life long record of giving and caring and living modestly ...

oh no! trump is going to just sit on his tiny hands and let Ryan have his way with them...

track record, is they will protest so that they can later claim they fought it, but had to finally cave in because of some bs clause...tack on bill. or other nonsense.

the gop senators will fall inline unless they sense trump is with them
