The travel industry calls it the Trump Slump - a big drop in bookings and tourism to the US. Trump's "Muslim ban" and increased vetting is affecting travel from all countries - not just Muslim nations.

Data suggests a 'Trump slump' in travel to U.S.: Travel Weekly

"Hopper, a flight app that tracks GDS searches in order to analyze fare prices and demand, also found that the number of flight searches for travel from international points of origin to the U.S. -- a key indicator of future travel intent -- was down 17% the week of Jan. 27. Last year, there was only a 1.8% decline during the same time period.

Heard all that after 9/11 too. Don't fret it. Consular offices are backed up for visa interviews for months.

Trump has also promised a trade war with China. Chinese are the biggest spenders and biggest travelers. So this will definitely hurt the tourism industry further if Trump follows through on his big trade war promises.

Just another Lame Stream Media lie!

I live in a huge tourist city and we are busier than ever. As a matter of fact, the area i live in is astounded at the Tourists already flocking in as we usually have a break January and February before the visitors start rolling in. I have never seen a February so loaded with tourism. For the firs time in 8 years, people who work finally have confidence in the economy and confidence Government isn't going to take from those who work and give to those who don't.

Stop believing and quoting the lies. Trump won. Trump has support. Deal with it.

No one whom has a brain and actually works for a living is scared. This is just lame stream media and the idiots whom protest for a living spreading lies. Again.

Wow, wonder what would happen if they actually got a job and contributed to society in a positive way.

Foreigners are 1) taking a stand and/or 2) worried about spending money/making plans and then be detained, "'aggressively vetted", or denied entry when they arrive.
