And the democrats still demand different benefits and standards for different races. While the republicans demand equal benefits and standards for each race. And then democrats claim that republicans are the racists. Someone explain that one.

True, and they have built on that anti-white racism.

But they are also a party built on economic failure.

"We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. ... We have never made good on our promises ... I say after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started. .... And an enormous debt to boot!"

Not lost on the Democrats of today is the fact that FDR, while failing by most every objective standard, still had to die in office to lose the White House.

Democrats are in the business of handouts, and if you don't need a handout, they will make you poor enough that you do.

This thing about other minorities getting more and more privileged at the expense of the whites? It sure doesn't look that way according to this chart. If anything, the percentage gap remained steady over the decades. This doesn't even begin to answer Bill Clinton's 1990s welfare reform without reforming wealth-fare.

Single women, homosexuals, public sector union members, recent immigrant and the like also tend to vote for Democrats, so it's not just a black-white race issue.

And most whites, both democrats and republicans, held racist views long after slavery and thought the Civil Rights movement was going too far. Thank goodness that we humans can grow and change.

Of course your statement is meaningless without considering what socially liberal and socially conservative meant at the time and how those same labels have evolved to become what they are today.

Political attitudes and identities are not always black and white and different people may have both liberal and conservative values.

Yeah, because nothing has changed in 240 years.

The Old Testament used to be taken literally, too. Things change...

Problem is, just as today, the handouts didn't actually help the black people at all:

The Dems are still the same people, they just gave hand outs which brought a lot of blacks from the Republican party to the Dem party. The leaders themselves, and what they believe, not a thing has changed since the Democart party was started by slave loving Andrew Jackson. You know, the guy who took away the 40 acres and a mule that were promised to the free slaves. Repartations? Fine, get it from the Dems.
The Repubs in the trailer parks aren`t getting hand outs?

Absolutely. He wanted Illinois to secede so the Lincolns could keep their slaves?

Amazing the number of CD posters who do not believe redemption is possible. Even after the person who did something stupid gets religion and apologizes for their sinful ways.

Just look at the comments about Senator Byrd, Jane Fonda and Obama must be a Muslim because his daddy was a drunk who abandoned him at age 2 and his stepfather was a Muslim. According to CD posters human beings never change. And a child can forever be held responsible for the actions of their parents.
